Our Strategy

My trading philosophy and strategic process
My approach to the markets is not simply trading, but a systematic process of capital management through a concentrated portfolio of futures positions.
As a swing trader, I operate with a horizon of several days to several weeks, aiming to capitalize on medium-term market cycles rather than short-term market noise.
Investment Horizon and Focus: My analysis is concentrated on approximately 25 of the most liquid futures contracts in the US. This provides strategic diversification across key sectors: commodities, metals, energy, currencies, and stock indices. To maintain maximum expertise and focus, my activity does not include stocks, options, or cryptocurrencies.
Top-down decision-making methodology: Every trading idea goes through a rigorous two-step filter that ensures positions are supported by both fundamental and technical factors.
- Step 1: Strategic Analysis (Macro View) My starting point is always the analysis of institutional positioning. Using my proprietary COT Index, based on the weekly Commitments of Traders report, I identify where "smart money" is accumulating significant exposure. Combined with seasonal trends, this analysis gives me a clear, fundamentally sound picture of the most likely medium-term direction of the market.
- Stage 2: Tactical execution (Refining the entry) Once markets with strong fundamental potential have been identified, I move to the daily chart to refine the entry point. I use clean technical analysis focused on market structure (trend structure) and price action patterns to find entry points offering an asymmetric risk/reward ratio.
Portfolio and risk management: The cornerstone of the strategy
A true and sustainable advantage in trading is generated not by finding profitable trades, but by systematic risk and capital management. My portfolio is dynamic and rarely exceeds 4 open positions at a time. This concentration allows me to direct capital to the highest quality opportunities. In certain market conditions, the best position is cash, and I do not hesitate to stay out of the market, waiting for a more favorable environment.
The number one priority is capital protection. This is achieved through ironclad rules:
- Defined stop loss: Every position is opened with a pre-calculated stop loss order. There are no exceptions.
- Strict risk control: The maximum risk per trade is limited to 1% of capital. During periods of consecutive losses (drawdown), the risk is halved to 0.5% per trade until the system returns to a profitable phase.
This conservative but proactive approach to risk is why my historical maximum drawdown remains below 9%—a key indicator of long-term sustainability.
